Participants from different states like Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya, Tripura, Tamil Nadu, Leh- Ladakh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh including central agencies, JICA India and state level agencies/departments participated in the workshop.
Day1:
Application of the Japanese technology for Erosion Control works in Uttarakhand and its effectiveness, Deliverables of the Project activities and their applications and various other topics were presented.
Day 2:
Visit to Model site, Nirgad was conducted to show the deliverables and quality of works done by UFRMP.
- Vijay Kumar, chief Project Director (UFRMP), Dr. Koko Rose, Dy. Project Director (UFRMP), Mr. Yasuo Iijima, Chief Advisor and Mr. Jay Kumar Sharma, Chief Engineer (Technical Cooperation Project) explained about the works that are carried out under the JICA-UFRMP.
